Celebrate My Living Life to The Fullest Life

Please, Celebrate My Life !!!
Today I had a going away party.
I had pizza, and turkey cutlets, and macaroni and cheese, and hotdogs, and ginger ale, and chocolate ice cream and a Margarita…and, my favorite treat—cough drops !!!
And I swam in my pool !!!!!!!!!!!!
So, please, celebrate my life…..
My people adopted me from a lab rescue when I was 10 months old.I heard them say they really didn’t want a “puppy” so I had to make them think they picked me— but , of course, I picked them. We were at a dog park with 30 other labs running around—28 of them black. Now, I know I was the prettiest—but how do you stand out in a crowd like that? So, I kept teasing all the other dogs, and when they’d chase me, I’d run right by these people I picked out .. and go hide behind my foster Mom—looking all cute and like I really needed help. Well, that got them all right .
I have had a great time with my people.
Wanna know some of my favorite things?
--Countersurfing. I already knew how to do this when my people took me home—so, good luck stopping me!
--Playing “Drug Dog”. I love to go through handbags, suitcases, briefcases..and I can open any pocket and get my big nose down there and snoop around. My Mom always has cough drops in her work bag. Did I mention these are one of my favorite treats? Sometimes I have eaten a whole bag—wrappers and all. Yummm.
-Having physical contact with my people. Especially sitting between their legs when they are on something called the “john”. They have nothing to do but pet me!!!
-Swimming—My people have named their pool “Maggie’s pool.” I never swam until after I had 3 legs…who needs 4 ?
-Teasing my stepbrother Lucky—I love to push his buttons—he is soooo uptight !!!
-And did I mention EATING ???
So, please celebrate my life !!!
I’m getting ready to celebrate with all my new friends up here at the Rainbow Bridge. I have 4 legs again. Truthfully I never missed that leg. But now I have that cute little waddle back in my behind that my Mom used to love.
I’m wearing my yellow “shoe” bandana. It’s very fashionable. (If you have the Brave Spirits Calendar you can see me wearing it )I am a huge flirt—with both boy dogs and girl dogs—and I’m guessing this bandana will be a big hit.
July 4th will be my 5th Birthday—I sure hope someone knows how to make chocolate cake with peanutbutter frosting. We will definitely be celebrating!!!
And, all of you, please CELEBRATE MY LIFE !!!!
Fondly Yours,
Maggie
