Xanadu was diagnosed with OS in his right wrist on 8/17/10. He is 12 years old. Xan has ruptured both ACLs in his adult life and has severe arthritis in both knees. While he gets around just fine, his oncologist did not recommend amputation. We decided to do radiation therapy and biophosphonate treatment. He started RT on 8/20 and had an IV infusion. So far so good!
I have had Xanadu since he was a 6-week-old pup. He is my best friend and I am devastated to know that the end is near for him. I am devoted to him and will do everything I can to make this as pain-free as possible. He isn't showing any signs of pain at this moment, which is a blessing!
