Julie is a mix of weimaraner and labrador, she is a great loving dog.
Julie was in daily sports training with me, almost every day 1 hour run in the fields-very good shape.
In april 2010 when Julie was only 1.3 years old she suddenly started lameness in the front limb, I thought it is probably an injury after slipping in the stairs. During the next 2 weeks she looked very tired sleeping all day and each day putting less weight on the limb.
The sleeping was a red light...
I took her to vet, did x-ray there was unclear picture but something is wrong with the ULNA bone. Then another vet said MULTIPLE MYELOMA after taking a needle biopsy. I took her to oncologist ,and she had a biopsy then she did blood, urine, ultrasound all was clear. Her leg bone was increased and looked very painful.
May 2010 the leg was amputated. 2 weeks later the first chemo was 20 may 2010.
Her limb has gone to biopsy without having again clear results but it was said favored OSTEOSARCOMA.
Update:
cancer had spread to the lung .
2 weeks after ampution she was better than before.
2 month after ampution she died -suffering from hard breathing(cancer).
she was running until the last day !!!
looking back -- it was a big mistake doing any of this procedures the the doctors saying.... alot of suffering for the dog and waste of money !!!
best option giving painkillers and not making the dog suffer from hard treatments in it's last days.
love you in all my heart my little julie
