Tumors:

Hi this is Buster, a handsome siberian husky. About 2years prior to the cancer, he started with a eye conditon called uveitis. He went to an eye specialist, and I was told his own immune system was attacking his eye causing bleeding within the eye. This continued for about a year. During that time he was treated with Imuran & predisone. Imuran lowers the body's immunity. Some of the risks in regard to humans may be cancer. No one in the medical community will admit this may have contributed to his cancer. However, I will never forget the vet tech warning of how strong this RX can be. Anyway, it took about a year to control the uveitis. A year later he started to limp. Initally, the first vet visit , it was diagnosed as osteoarthiritis. The limp never went away, then came a 2nd or 3rd visit, not to mention months went by misdiagnosed. I trusted this vet since he took care of Buster since he was a pup. Even his biopsy came back as a bacteria, I listened to my gut and took him to a teaching hospital were I finally found out it was a chrondrosarcoma. They told me he was in pain since the tumor was sitting on a nerve, the best bet was amputation. In late April he had the surgery. He is now a tripawd.
His type of cancer is resistant to chemo and radiation. We are using homeopathic vet now to aid in building back his immune system. It is now 8 months later, and we are going back for chest x-rays. I have my suspicions as to why he is so tired lately. I am praying for more time. Based on his results I may try the Artemisinin or Metronomic Protocol if Univ of Penn uses this.
Would like to mention after his amputation I did contact Dr Pitcairn. I wish I would of heard of a homeopathic vet when his eye flared up. In my heart I feel it was a combination of Rx's and poor diet which led to this cancer. He now eats a semi Raw diet, and if I can't eat it neither can he. I don't buy into the commercial dog food anymore & I've learned to always get a 2nd opinion. Listen to your heart and your gut. This is my story of my beautiful fur baby, Buster. I pray we find a cure for everyone's sake...
