Ben was diagnosed with right distal radius osteosarcoma in May of 2008. He is 7 years old, weighs 180 lbs and he is the most gentle dog in the world.
Ben is an inspiration since being diagnosed. He was unable to weight bear without discomfort but 3 months later he is now being managed using artemisinin and alendronate with amazing results. Ben can now weight bear without discomfort, and he continues to improve every day.
Ben is truly my hero. He personifies the newfoundland disposition as the gentle giant.
