abby came in our lives june of 1998 and was a joy to have. she always was the type of lab that just wanted to please you, no matter what kind of day you were having.we noticed she was limping on her right hind leg and just thought it was from getting up in years, but after 2 days of limping we made a visit to our vet. the vet took xrays but did not sedate her, when we viewed the xrays, the vet said that she thought abby had bone cancer, not wanting to believe her we went to another vet on june 9th to get a second xray since the first vet did not sedate her. we left her at the vet all day on the 9th,when i picked her up, i could not believe the news , it was confirmed my baby had bone cancer. amputation was out of the question because of her age and weight, so we went home to try and make her as comfortable as possible with medication. we were told a month or 2 at best. on june 10th she stopped going to the bathroom, so once again i took her back to the vet, she took more xrays and done a rectum exam and said that the cancer had spread to her colon. i made the hardest decision of my life, on june 13th she died in my arms and crossed over the rainbow bridge where she is not in any pain no more. 4-22-1998 to 6-13-2008
