Our dog, a Labrador retriever, got bone cancer at a very young age (13 months). Her right front leg was amputated right away after the diagnosis (Osteosarcoma) and shortly afterwards the vet started chemo treatments every 3 weeks. 6 treatments were foreseen but after the 3rd session she got violent fevers and it was determined that the cancer had spread to her lungs and thorax. Further chemo sessions were stopped and only palliative medication was given. 5 months after the amputation we had her humanely euthanized.
