Even from the day she was diagnosed the possibility of amputation was out of the question. Zena is one of the best dogs that ever lived and I am so happy to be blessed with her presence. To this day Zena loves to swim and run with the horses and chase birds with her brother Tyson, Athena (our rottwiler) and Perry (our weimeriner/catahoola mix). Althought Zena doesn't climb trees, or go all the places she went before she is still one happy dog. Around children Zena is a laid back mush and when it comes time to swim she acts as the lifegaurd and if she thinks you need help or are drownding she pulls you to safety. Being sad around this dog is impossible if she sees you crying she is sure to come and comfort you. Its a wonder why these things target the best of the best. We have no worries for Zena because she acts like it doesnt bother her thanks to the pain pills but on her bad days she lays on the porch and watches the beautiful country side around her. I am again very thankful to have my baby Zena who is laying on the couch right next to me!
