Weight: 113
Breed: Saint Bernard
Age when diagnosed: 7

Tumors:

My Story is the same as a lot of other wonderful people that own such beautiful dogs like mine; my dear girl Annie is our gracious St.Bernard who has taught my who family a lot about life and all it has to offer including unconditional love, grace and loyalty.
She had and injury to her back leg sometime ago and we were told it was a injury to her knee, so we decided that we would let it heal on it's own and it did, every now and then she seemed to favorite it after running a lot and we would make her be calm for a day or so and it seemed fine, well on May 10th she seemed to have swelling in her leg so we took her in and they did x-rays and told us she might have a tumor above her left ankle, well that lead me to get a second diagnosis, We took her to UCDavis where they confirmed everything our local Vet had told us, So on May29th 2007 she had her amputation they did not want to wait due to the cancer spreading, So as you can tell on this day of writing we are just 2 ½ weeks into her surgery and she is doing well, Our love and respect goes out to all on this web site we might not of done this if I hadn’t ran into all of these people who have been through this and are still hanging in there as well as those who already lost their dog to this horrible disease. We will be going through the chemo with her as soon as she is healed all they way, so hopefully I will be able to update her condition as we go.
Thank you to all involved in this web site and all the owners of such great animals, if you are reading this web site for the first time listen to what all these stories have to offer it will help in deciding what to do.
